• As Structural Engineer reporting to the Technical Services Manager your Prime areas of responsibility will be the detail design, engineering and specifications of Structural Facilities used on the onshore / offshore platforms.
• The candidate shall be able to Organize, supervise, co-ordinate and control a design Team in order to ascertain that the Offshore Platforms are designed and built in accordance with drawings, specifications, procedures, cost and schedule, utilizing good and safe Industry practices.
• During the key phase of your assigned project / projects, when not directly engaged on the conceptual engineering or detail design, you will be required to review Design, vendor and procurement data with an eye on constructability, delivery, schedule, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning. Development of the engineering management practices and procedures, in accordance with the requirements of the various projects and Contracts.
• Responsible for the Design and selection of Structural concepts and materials used on the onshore / offshore process facilities, related to all aspects of the PM311/312 and SK309/311 Blocks.
• Responsible for the Monitoring, Execution and implementation of the project Sub Contracts with respect to ensuring that cost and schedule are maintained within the boundaries of those Contracts.
• Responsible for the Implementation of the COMPANY HSE and Quality requirements throughout the fabrication period.
• Responsible for the supervision of a small team of Consultant Engineers/Contractors ensuring Compliance with all COMPANY specifications, codes and standards.
• Establish a daily routine with the Technical Services Manager on all Design and Site issues.
• Establish a weekly progress review meeting with CONTRACTOR to monitor progress and change.
• Establish, monitor and expedite a Site Technical Query system on all Vendor, Fabricator and Design Issues applicable to the Structural Discipline.
• Co-Ordinate the daily activities of the discipline design Team and Specialist Vendors. Monitor and ensure that the Project Quality plan is being adhered to.

• Have (min 15 years) working Experience in Oil & gas related Engineering and Design.
• Have at least 10 years experience in the management of design teams.
• Have worked in S.E.A. for at least 5 years. (Preference given to locally based professional)

• Able to Evaluate and prepare specifications for Design of Substructure and Topsides facilities including new, novel or low costs designs of jacket structures.
• Capable of providing professional advice in the selection of materials for new projects and replacement on existing facilities.
• Capable of providing professional advice in the review and selection of Construction methodologies, including upgrades and refurbishment of existing facilities.
• Capable of providing professional advice in the review and selection of Transportation and Installation procedures for new or retro-fitted facilities offshore.
• Experienced in the use and interpretation of applicable codes, standards and practices for Design Construction and Installation of Offshore Platforms and facilities.

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or equivalent with extensive experience.
