| Work Scope |
- Supervise the Contractor’s work to ensure that contractual requirements especially in the areas of technical integrity, quality, HSE, cost, schedule and fitness for purpose are met;
- Ensure that Contractor’s work is on schedule to fit Company overall plans and objectives;
- Motivate and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of Company engineers and inspectors to work closely to meet Company’s requirements;
- Monitor and motivate Contractor’s work progress and advise Company of any potential schedule and cost impact;
- Review and approve all technical proposals from the Contractor and verify all Contractors invoices for approval;
- Enforce the agreed Contractor’s project HSE plan/program to ensure its implementation.
- Attends meetings to discuss progress of job, problems occurring and co-ordination.
- Ensures the Company safety standards/procedures are adhered to by monitoring that regular tool-box meetings are conducted, audits and investigating any accident or incidents which do occur.
- Ensures quality standards are met by inspecting and overseeing work and by ensuring procedures are followed and are appropriate for each job.
- Ensures the work area is kept clear of unnecessary equipment and materials which may hinder work of personnel by supervising continual housekeeping activities.
- Provides training, guidance and counselling to subordinates when necessary.
- Ensures there are no industrial relations problems by being aware of requirements, following guidelines and communicating with workers, management and regulatory representative to solve any disputes or problems.
- To monitor contractors offshore operations to ensure positive HSE management and compliance to the relevant legislative standards, as well as compliance to the client’s HSE objectives.
- To monitor and ensure that the agreed scope of work is completed in order to maintain the technical integrity of the Company Assets.
- Ensure that personnel arriving onboard have a current Sea survival certificate and safety passport, and that they are given a full safety briefing by the Chief Officer (Vessel Safety Officer).
- Ensure that contractors diving equipment, personnel and procedures comply with contractual requirements, diving operations are well planned and documented, and Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures used on board are in line with the client’s current policies & procedures.
- Monitoring of Contractor resources, reporting of daily progress and highlighting any anomalies.
- Highlighting any changes to offshore work programs to onshore support team.
- Monitoring of performance targets.
- Act as the focal point between the Client and the contractor especially for PTW interface, operational liaison, and technical input to ensure smooth management of offshore interfaces.
