Asian oil & gas operating company with outstanding exploration and production record, seeks suitably qualified and experienced specialist for a professionally challenging and satisfying role as Petroleum Engineer. The client offers an internationally competitive remuneration package.

Work Scope
  • Strategize and integrate the implementation of strategic direction for the Mechanical Engineering Team by providing overall management and leadership role to engineers to ensure maximum facilities availability, operability, maintainability and reliability of the production operations facilities are maintained in order to meet company objectives of meeting the Buyers daily gas nomination.
  • Lead, drive, strategize and align the Mechanical Engineering team towards meeting or exceeding the Departmental KPI’s of the Key Performance Areas namely, Financial (WP&B), Customer Focus (Gas Nomination and Quality), Internal Processes (Facility Availability and HSE) and Continuous Learning and Growth (Staff Continuous Improvement), as specified in the Performance Plan. Set the direction and priorities of work within the group and ensure that progresses are effective and aligned.
  • Develop, formulate and implement the Company Technical Authority (TA) which comprises of overall TA goals, identification and implementation of technical assurance goals to ensure full adherence and compliance to Carigali Hess and Mechanical/Piping Specifications. Ensure any deviation or change of management is documented through TA approval and endorsement process prior to work execution.
  • Drive and lead the capability requirement for Mechanical engineers by developing staffs and leaders through acquisition of skills, subsequent coach, mentor, guide, counsel and motivate the staff and conduct periodic performance review to instill right mindset, behaviors and values in order to attain high performance standard.
  • Strategize and champion the improvement opportunities for equipment and facilities in an effort to strive for technical and operational excellence. Maintain and improve the compliance with the Carigali Hess and industry standard practices. Ensure accomplishment through the development of new and existing programs that can improve productivity, maintenance skills, technical expertise and reliability of personnel and equipment.
  • Strategize and provide direction, prepare, implement and monitor the yearly and forecasted years Work Programme and budget. Ensure the group undertake the planned work and manage the budget within the planned and approved value.
Requirements
  • 10 years’ relevant experience in oil & gas industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience to undertake leadership role in upstream oil and gas industry. Capable of interacting and liaising effectively with Engineers, Business Support Groups, senior Management, Shareholders, MTJA and Government Bodies.
  • Significant offshore experience including strong technical knowledge on the facilities and equipment
  • Conversant in various aspects of operations and project activities
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and networking skills
  • Excellent decision making skills and strong analytical skills
  • A thorough knowledge of the codes and standards applicable to the design and engineering of mechanical equipment and piping for offshore oil and gas industries. (ASME Various, ANSI B31.3/31.4/31.8, TEMA etc)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
