Brief Company Introduction

Our client provides offshore construction, engineering and support services including pipeline construction, platform installation & removal, and diving services to the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, Asia Pacific, Middle East/India, and South America.

Work Scope
  • Assists Project Managers and Project Engineers with the execution of projects.
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures and work requirements.
  • Maintains confidential information.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
  • Track receipt on delivery of material and equipment.
  • Create and maintain material loadout lists for jobs and verify that loadout is correct.
  • Quality control for any and all fabrication work performed.
  • Attend job kick off meetings.
  • On barge rotation/project.
  • Track fabrication.
  • Onsite Engineer (Padeyes, Offpipe, Rigging, etc.)
  • Liaison between Company representative and superintendent.
  • P/L’s – Tally verification.
  • Derricks – Blow count tallies.
  • Monitor job supplies on barge.
  • Maintain job book, which includes daily logs and welding statistics.
  • Prepare field installation manuals on assigned projects for use by pipeline or derrick barge superintendent.
  • Prepares loadout drawings, monitors offshore material barge loadouts of platforms, pipelines or other material in fabrication yard.
  • Coordinates on-site platform installations and pipeline installations and pipeline operations by assisting the derrick barge or pipeline superintendent.
  • Performs work in conjunction with structural installations; determines pipeline position and profile during construction in order to inform operations personnel and customer of progress; and monitors laying stresses during installation.
  • Prepares and submits post-job analysis of assigned projects for review by management.
  • Provides technical assistance to the company’s operational personnel and the customer’s representative.
  • Checks and interprets drawings for superintendent’s and/or barge foreman during installation of offshore platforms with regard to orientation of platforms, boat landings and risers.
  • During structural installation the field engineer will monitor pile-driving records, verify that the pile cutoffs are made at the correct elevation, and verify that all jacket appurtenances are installed.
  • During the pipeline installation the field engineer will run calculations in regard to stinger buoyancy, monitor in house and outhouse consumables, tension requirements and verify that final laydown measurement for accuracy.
  • Performs calculations to determine proper rigging is used; ensures that the approved factors of safety are fulfilled for lifting and quality control measures are ensured.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
