Our Client, an engineering consulting and software development company, headquartered in Houston, TX, is comprised of experienced professionals specializing in providing services to the marine, petroleum, and construction industries. The Client’s extensive experience with semi-submersibles, jack-up drilling units, barges, drillships, fixed offshore platforms, fabrication yards, floating production systems, risers and pipelines allows us to solve technical problems in an efficient and cost effective manner.

They also offer an array of software packages which are used by engineering firms, drilling contractors, oil companies, classification societies, and shipyards worldwide.

• Design, and review designs of the structural components of the Client's products, mainly topsides structures.
• Identify and write specifications relevant to the structural aspects of the Company's products.
• Perform calculations to justify the integrity of structural components in accordance with the relevant international codes, with the Company standards and with client's specifications.
• Perform finite element analysis on critical structural components and apply the results to the design.
• Calculate and determine corrosion control requirements. • Identify and specify the materials and welding standards necessary for the safe and efficient fabrication and construction of the Company's products

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in design of oil & gas offshore structures.
• Familiar with structural analysis software packages.
• Experience with CAD software programs is a plus.

• MSc or BSc degree in any relevant engineering discipline.
