• Set up Baseline schedules for new projects or schedules for Tenders.
• Set up the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for the Project(s) according to the Project’s scope of work.
• Set up reporting formats, S-curves and histograms for the project(s) designated.
• Implementation of sub-contractors plans into main schedule/plan. Establish reporting routines for sub-contractors and follow up deliveries according to the main schedule/plan, if necessary checking physical progress at sub-contractor workshop/place of production.
• Perform project control and progress monitoring for the project(s) designated.
• Prepare fortnightly/monthly progress reporting for Management and Clients in the project(s) designated.
• Maintain the update of schedule(s) during the project execution and ensure any potential delays are highlighted to the Project Manager.
• Assist the Project Manager in the preparation and negotiation on contract variations.
• Monitor and update the convergence plan for the project(s) designated.
• Advise Project Manager and the Project Management Team on the criticality of the Project(s).
• Liaise with the Engineering Manager assigned to the project(s) on the creation of the CTR listings for the project(s).
• Ensure that all productive manhours are properly logged to the proper CTR (Cost, Time Resource) coding.
• Maintain a good record of all CTRs charged to the Project, which is essential for the production of reports for earned value.
• Review and update procedures related to planning and project control with the advice from the Project Control Manager and the Risk & Planning Manager.
• Render advisory assistance to Junior Planners employed in Asia and Middle East region.
• Attend audit meeting or audit sessions in the event of any external audit for planning or project control procedures.
• Produces level 2/3 schedules for risk management process.

• Minimum 3 years working experience as a Planning Engineer in the Oil & Gas Industry.
• Usage experience in Planning software or tools like, e.g. Primavera Project Planner Version 3.1 or above, MS Project and other commonly used MS Office Tools.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
