Work Scope
  • Provide 1st and 2nd level server, desktop & PDA support for from KL via phone, remote tools or onsite visit.
  • Serves as the single point of contact for Kuala Lumpur’s Service Desk requests as it relates to incident and service request creation, updates, resolution, and escalation
  • Liaison with vendors as needed to resolve desktop and application issues.
  • Assist with IT projects as required (i.e. user training, deployment, documentation)
  • Assists System Engineers in efforts to test new applications, troubleshooting the desktop, and developing and maintaining a desktop standard.
  • Responsible for asset management, IT procurement, logistic arrangements and salvage processes.
  • Provide management with information needed to manage workloads, costs and service levels as required
  • Able to travel overseas to vessel’s and remote office location to assist vessels on-location to service problems regarding fleet and office (hardware / software)
  • Conduct “one to one” or “one to many“ training session for shore and sea staff on the best practice and proper use of deployed technologies
  • Provide assistance on application usage.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience

    Must have experience supporting users in a Windows environment. :

  • Windows XP, VPN, Remote desktop tools, Antivirus,
  • MS Office 2003 Suite,
  • PC hardware and software configuration and support
  • Server installation and management
  • Phone support experience.
  • Creation of incidents in ticketing system
  • Experience managing small projects

    PC desktop configuration and support, customer service,

    Ability to work and prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
Qualifications
  • Minimum Diploma in Computer Studies or Bachelor degree from an accredited university.
