Asian oil & gas operating company with outstanding exploration and production record, seeks suitably qualified and experienced specialist for a professionally challenging and satisfying role as Petroleum Engineer. The client offers an internationally competitive remuneration package.

Work Scope
  • Coordinate with external auditors and line departments during the PSC audit to ensure auditors receive timely attention and sufficient information so as to avoid any possible non-cost recovery.
  • Ensure compliance to the PSC terms when compiling relevant reports.
  • Prepare provisional gas entitlement report quarterly for submission to MTJA.
  • In compliance to the Gas Sales Agreement to prepare monthly gas invoice to Buyers including coordinate monthly meeting among Sellers to confirm the numbers of gas delivery, price, invoice amount and etc before issuing the invoice.
  • Liaise closely with Operations Planning Section to review gas delivery volumes and with Commercial Section to obtain the relevant gas price.
  • Prepare Account Payable vouchers monthly for gas and condensate PSC payments as required under the PSC Agreement to Malaysian and Thai Authorities i.e. Research Cess, Production Bonus, Customs Duties, Supplementary payments including preparing Debit Note for Port Charges relating to Condensate lifting.
  • Prepare Journal Entry vouchers monthly to book gas & condensate sales and payments from Buyers.
  • Provide provisional gas sales to Sellers and Buyers on 25th of every month for month end accruals.
  • Provide information as required by MTJA PSC Auditors.
Requirements
  • 5 years experience as a Financial Accountant, preferably in Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Experienced in handling a standard Accounting System e.g. SUN, SAP, OGSYS
  • Possess computer application skills e.g. spreadsheet, word processing, presentation/chart application.
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Good analytical and communication skills and able to work independently
Qualifications
  • Recognised Degree in Accountancy
