| Work Scope |
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the drilling budgets and forecasts and take responsibility for the cost reporting.
- Produce the Forecast Report and review monthly with Budget Holders to agree the forecast and confirm variance commentary
- Consolidate the Forecast information for the business area and feedback to the Management Accountant any changes to forecast
- Highlight overall trend of costs; ensure full allocation of organisation
and other pool costs.
- Prepare, issue and monitor all AFE’s administration associated with the Operations Division.
- Work closely with management in the evaluation of technical and commercial aspects of commitment proposals, giving appropriate advice on performance factors - e.g. comparisons with other projects, in order to assist management in the selection and award of contracts.
- To monitor compliance of post tender award contractual obligations.
- Update/highlight contract cost overruns.
- Provide timely and accurate drilling contract and cost reporting.
- Be pro-active in monitoring drilling cost and budget in all the execution contracts awarded.
- Jointly participate with Contracts and Procurement team in monitoring contract cost.

| Requirements |
- A minimum of 5 years experience preferably in the oil industry in a
business and commercial or finance environment.
- Good understanding of the technical operations of operating assets within the oil and gas industry.
- Excellent analytical skills and a sound knowledge of financial analysis techniques and economic measures.
- Experience of budget preparation, cost control, AFE administration and planning within a large organisation.
- Knowledge of Accounting and Reporting standards.
- Experience and good understanding of O&G industry contracting issues.
- Computer literate with experience of various applications (primarily SAP, Excel and Powerpoint).
