| Work Scope |
- Deliver drilling engineering input into the design of deepwater (>1000m) exploration, appraisal and production wells in a manner consistent with D&C Performance focus.
- Supervision or mentoring of Drilling and/or Well Engineers. Involves the execution of Personal Development Plans and Performance Agreements on behalf of the Drilling Engineering Skill Pool Manager and Line Manager.
- Technical line review and preparation of Drilling Engineering Programmes and Execution Procedures for deepwater exploration, appraisal and developement wells.
- Assuring compliance with regulatory requirements for well construction activities, including preparation of documentation for government approval.
- Supervision of Well Site Operations during critical operations.
- Provide well engineering input to project / asset teams in the screening and evaluation phase of new opportunities.
- Rig Specification on the basis of Drilling Engineering critical inputs.
- QA/QC of Service Suppliers procedures and work instructions.
- Provide experienced support for critical Drilling Engineering contracts (tender, evaluation, award and management).
- Facilities detailed hazard and risk assessments across multiple disciplines eg SIMOPS.
- Prepare, review and update D&C Drilling Engineering business processes, standards, procedures and guidelines.
- Provide professional and aligned representation of the D&C organisation.
- Preparation of detailed integrated project plans, cost forecasts and reports on behalf of Well Delivery Managers and D&C organisation.

| Requirements |
- Consistently demonstrated performance as a Drilling Engineer for greater than 15 years with at least 5 years specific experience in deepwater (1000+m) exploration, appraisal and development wells.

| Qualifications |
- University degree in an engineering discipline preferred B Eng or BSc equivalent.
