• Prepare basic of design, Instrument control and shutdown philosophy, functional logic flow chart, and technical specifications.
• Prepare/modify/check/approve Instrument drawings, data sheets, I/O count schedule, I/O wiring diagrams, P&IDs, specifications, Cause & Effect matrix, instrument loop diagram, Hook-up diagram, alarm and trip monitoring schedule, calculations, charts and graphs, Instrument schedule, cable schedule, cost estimate.
• Interact closely with Process Engineer for the preparation of Cause & Effect matrix and control loop diagram to cater the requirement of process control, different level of shutdown including ESD and F&G.
• Effectively participate and contribute in HAZOP session. Help resolving all relevant points raised in the HAZOP report.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to get and provide input for the preparation of deliverables.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Carry out offshore site visit and prepare As Building documents.
• Purchasing equipment and materials, vendor’s tender evaluation, recommendation etc.
• Preparing testing procedures carry out FAT and SAT tests.
• Provide design expert assistance to Commissioning team for the complete instrumentation and control scheme for loop test and checking.
• Provides technical direction and on-the-job training to Drafters, Designers, and less experienced Engineers.

• Shall have +/- 8 years experience in oil and gas industries especially for offshore production and processing facilities including onshore terminal facilities.
• Conversant in preparing the all Instrumentation engineering deliverables required for basic and detailed engineering projects.
• Knowledge in operating INTOOL software and other instrument and control system design software is required.
• Must have completed at least two to three projects in full cycle for green field and or brown field projects.
• Knowledge in instrument & control safety standard as per ATEX and area classification class requirements.
• Familiarity with industrial computer systems, motor control, PLCs and DCSs.
• Conversant with all API, ANSI, BS, IS and other international standards as applicable for the preparation of Instrument and Process control deliverables.
• Knowledge in designing instrument & control scheme for some of the systems such as Gas compression, gas dehydration, gas sweetening, water injection, lift gas, multi phase flowmeter, produced water handling, slug suppression system, etc.
• PE license holder or Professional accreditation from recognized university together with offshore visit fitness/safety certificate shall have an added advantage.

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Instrument & Control Engineering from recognized university.
