| Work Scope |
- Perform offshore site visits and also onshore site visits.
- Prepare Design Basis for entire platform, Design Briefs for all pre-service and in-service conditions and technical specifications (for buildings on offshore platforms.
- Experiance in doing analysis on topside and substructures
- Prepare/modify/check/approve Structural drawings, design reports, design analysis, design calculation, Material Take-Off (MTO) and cost estimate.
- Interact with Mechanical Engineer/Designer for the preparation of Equipment Layout Drawing and major piping routing.
- Effectively participate and contribute in HAZID/HAZOP session as applicable. Help resolving all relevant points raised in the HAZOP report pertaining to structural engineering.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to get and provide input for the preparation of deliverables.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors.
- Carry out offshore site visit and prepare As-Built documents.
- Recommend purchasing materials, vendor’s tender evaluation, recommendation etc.
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to Drafters, Designers, and Junior Engineers.
- Assist Lead Structural Engineer in various aspects of an engineering project.

| Requirements |
- Shall have 10 years experience in oil and gas industries especially for offshore production and processing facilities including onshore terminal facilities.
- Conversant in preparing all Structural engineering deliverables required for basic and detailed engineering projects.
- Knowledge in operating at least SACS, SESAM, and StaadPro softwares and knowledge of other structural/civil design software is a bonus.
- Must have completed at least five projects in full cycle for green field and or brown field projects.
- Conversant with all API, AISC, ANSI, AWS, BS, DNV, ISO and other international standards as applicable for the preparation of Structural deliverables.
- Knowledge in designing structural appurtenances such as heavy lift padeye, conductor related calculations, all soil/geotechnical calculations, major structural joints, stiffener design, all fatigue related matters(due to wind /current and vibration).
- Able to execute all relevant computer analysis/manual calculation involved for total design of an offshore platform.
- Valid Professional Engineer(P.E) registration with the Lembaga Jurutera Malaysia(LJM) or Board of Engineer, Malaysia(BEM) or at least show proof of being a registered engineer with the LJM or BEM. Also, a valid Offshore Safety Certificate is required.

| Qualifications |
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a university recognized by the Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam, Malaysia(Public Services Department, Malaysia).
