Brief Company Introduction

Our Client is a leading solutions provider of offshore construction, engineering, project management and support services
including pipeline construction,platform installation and removal,deepwater/SURF installations, IRM, and diving to the oil and gas industry worldwide.
They are seeking a Contract Specialist (Legal background) to join their organization.

Work Scope
  • Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects, or services, applying knowledge of established bid procedures.
  • Reviews data to determine material, and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.
  • Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes, such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors, or subcontractors, and determining related cost data or effect cost reductions.
  • Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Calculates individual items, such as labor, materials, equipment, machinery, and overhead costs using calculator or computer.
  • Prepares cost estimates of labor and equipment in loading, unloading, and mobilization of labor, materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Confers with departments such as accounting, personnel, tax, insurance, and data processing on matters relative to bid proposal.
  • Submits bid package to subcontractor for specialized portions of project.
  • Ensures that material take off is done accurately and timely.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in estimating, contracts and costs
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office computer applications including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point
Qualifications
  • Degree in Law
