Our Client, is a Malaysian integrated service provider in operations and
maintenance; engineered Equipment; geophysical and domestic vessels
recharter. They also provide services in oil field optimization; design
and fabrication of process equipment; and packaging for the oil and gas
industry.
They are currently spreading their wings into Asia Continent and are hiring
new talent to join their organisation

| Work Scope |
- Able to manage vessel maintenance, repairs and vessel spares.
- Familiar with ISM, Surveys, Class Rules and Regulations, Statutory Requirements.
- Experience on offshore oil and gas industries work barges and rigs preferred; on-job training provided where necessary.
- Experience in drydock vessels / barges including preparing work scope for yards and keeping to budget & schedule for drydock / maintenance period.
- Able to recommend & implement improvement in maintenance and engine crew/officer performance/review.
- Monitor fuel consumption for all vessels and chartered vessels.
- Travel to site location for investigation on mechanical breakdown and come up with recommendations.
- Regular site visits to vessels or barges to conduct audit on engine department and class matters.
- Pre-mob inspection of vessels / barges
- Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for client engagement from definition phase through implementation.
- Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients.
- Reviews work of development team.
- Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.
- Creates and executes development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Ensures technical teams are contributing to improving equipment and systems onboard vessels and barges
- Performs ISM reviews and mentors junior developers.
- Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients.
- Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
- Holds regular status meetings with maintenance team.
- Keeps maintenance team well informed of changes within the organization and changes to classification rules / IMO / ILO.
Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations when required
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion to all relevant HOD

| Requirements |
- Valid Class 1 Engineering in Motorship.
- Experience as Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer.
Experience in Foreign going vessels.
Experience as Technical Superintendent will be an advantage.
