Our client is a joint operating company. They are responsible to conduct petroleum operations on behalf of the Production Sharing Contractors in offshore East Malaysia. | Work Scope |
- Senior Commercial Negotiator
- To draft, negotiate and agree on commercial terms for our PSC project which involves interface with Company Shareholders and Petronas Petroleum Management Unit (PMU) and Petronas Carigali (as operator of the onshore gas and condensate processing facilities) and other 3rd parties that may be identified (e.g other PSC operators, domestic market gas buyer).
- Develop negotiation strategies and milestones for project planning and opportunity framing.
- Resolve commercial issues and secure high value agreements through commercial negotiations with external parties.
- Identify and assess business opportunities, risks and options.
- Investigate economics of proposed development projects.
- Identify and assess commercial project risks to develop mitigation action plans.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Keep abreast of local and international oil and gas market developments.
- Seek alignment with multiple stakeholders with varied business drivers
- Sensitive and critical nature of negotiations requires proficient stakeholder management skills.
- Need to have sufficient understanding of technical issues which has commercial impact, and also knowledge of essential finance, tax and gas market to be able to deliver sound and robust commercial agreements.
