Our client is a joint operating company. They are responsible to conduct petroleum operations on behalf of the Production Sharing Contractors in offshore East Malaysia. In fulfilling the role and responsibility of the operator, they aspires to be a high performing joint operating company and currently they are searching for talent to join their workforce

• Promote, support and lead the implementation of the company’s Health, Safety & Environment policies and strategies in the fabrication of the Topsides Integrated Deck and Substructure.
• Support the Construction Lead during the fabrication of the Topsides Integrated Deck
• Oversee the fabrication contractor team site activities and ensure they execute in accordance with the HSE requirements of the contract
• Proactively engage with the fabrication contractor to ensure that fabrication activities are performed safely
• Facilitate and ensure alignment of HSE practices and processes between fabrication sites to ensure a consistent approach. Drive and institutionalize a relentless commitment to zero accidents and incidents.
• Ensure that all Topsides and substructure fabrication activities are executed safely
• Ensure company’s HSE policies, procedures and practices are implemented on site
• Lead the site’s hazard identification process
• Lead the site’s Hazard and Effects Management Process
• Ensure that Contractors HSE programs and performance are kept fully active, monitored, and reported
• Develop and implement an HSE training matrix for company’s site personnel
• Develop an HSE induction for permanent staff and visitors to site
• Lead and take part in HSE audits
• Manage HSE personnel for local and remote site teams
• Participate in and, where necessary, lead incident investigations
• Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment
• Demonstrated interpersonal / teambuilding skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Must be prepared to be based at the fabrication contractor site anywhere in Malaysia, and to travel regularly between sites
• This job is site based and the incumbent is expected to spend the majority of his/her working time outside on the fabrication site
• Technical HSE responsibility for both Topsides and Substructure HSE staff

• 15 years of major international project experience in an HSE role.
• Must be competent and experienced in all stages of oil and gas fabrication including onshore pre-commissioning and commissioning, and offshore hook up
• Extensive experience in managing HSE in fabrication yards, especially in Hazard Identification
• Working knowledge of relevant engineering & construction codes, standards safety practices
• Ability to work within a diverse cultural and multi-company environment
• Demonstrated interpersonal / team-working / leadership skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills

• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
