Our client is a joint operating company. They are responsible to conduct petroleum operations on behalf of the Production Sharing Contractors in offshore East Malaysia. | Work Scope |
- Main responsibility is to execute and supervise all the work in all the phases of the project and assist project team lead to deliver the complete system of pipeline / subsea, riser facility (pipeline/SURF).
- Must supervise the work from the initial conceptual stage to the final stage of pre-commissioning for the first gas readiness within the project schedule, budget and with the quality to comply with the company standards and requirements.
- Responsibilities include supervising and monitoring the third party engineering contractor, line pipe and valve suppliers, coating, installation and other contractors involved in the project execution.
- Supervise the team and provide mentoring opportunity for National engineers to develop their potential for global readiness in the areas of Pipeline/SURF.
- Supervise Pipeline, subsea and risers engineering work for all phases of execution starting form the Concept, FEED, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, hydrotesting and pre-commissioning.
- Prepare the scope of work, award the “farm-in” contract, and complete the pipeline route survey. Prepare CTRs for Concept, FEED and EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) phase. Perform tender evaluation and make recommendations.
- Develop overall execution plan of the pipeline/SURF system.
- Supervise the engineering for fluid flow simulation calculations and work with the Process to develop concept for 2-phase flow versus dense phase flow, slug catcher design and requirements. Supervise the engineering for the surge simulation in the liquid export pipeline and develop mitigation plan for surge control.
- Supervise and direct the engineering, for pipeline on-bottom stability, trenching requirements, installation stress, operation stress, riser design, pipeline and cable crossing, and shore approach.
- Supervise the deepwater work for satellite fields’ flowlines, risers, subsea tie-ins, umbilical, subsea manifold and control for subsea production.
- Review specifications, procedures, drawings, studies and engineering reports.
- During fabrication, coating, installation, hydrotesting and pre-commissioning phases, supervise and direct the team of Company Site Representatives (CSR) and Inspectors.
- Monitor pipeline schedule, cost control, performance of direct reports. Prepare progress reports and provide input for funding gate clearances at different stages.
- Interface coordinator with SOGT for onshore tie-in with development for the company risers tie-ins.
- Perform teamwork with other disciplines and work closely with Process, Topside Facilities, Structural, Procurement, Project Control, Construction, Installation, QA/QC, and HSE management.

| Requirements |
- More than 15 years experience in offshore pipeline project.
- Experienced in engineering supervision. Must have hands-on experience in major tasks of pipeline/SURF design activities.
- Must have clear understanding for engineering drawings, specifications and procedures.
- Experienced in project management, cost and schedule control, progress reporting.
- Must have a sound understanding of and sense of responsibilities for the scope of work, HSE management, quality of results, budget and schedule.
- Must have good technical expertise, clear communication skills in English, decision making ability, mentoring and people skills.
