| Work Scope |
- Coordinate with Discipline Engineer(s) to ensure the all relevant information is available in order to commence with detailed engineering. Study and make any recommendations to improve / consolidate the design.
- Perform site survey to verify the design / dimensions and review installation and constructability.
- To ensure that the design conforms to the project requirements and ensure technical conformity to Company & International standard and specification, constructability, and correctness of the design packages.
- Review and prepare materials take-off as per project’s requirements.
- Update materials / E&I databases as per project’s requirements.
- Assist in general drawing office activities to ensure that all drawings, documents, registers, indexes etc are maintained in an up to date manner within the companies database
- Coordinate with other disciplines in the project to ensure that all interfaces are correctly addressed.
- Propose/ suggest improvements / enhancements to the design and other disciplines
- If necessary, provide On the Job Training (OTJ) to any new / junior draftsmen, to coach, mentor, and provide guidance on the technical duties i.e. drawing techniques, the use of software, and how to perform conventional drafting duties, etc.

| Requirements |
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in design and engineering office for medium to large Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and engineering standards used in the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical industry.
- Familiar with commercial software package in drafting and engineering database management, i.e., AutoCAD Release 14, Excel, INtools.
- Good communication and inter-personal skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English
- To contribute to the economic, safe, operable and easily maintained design of electrical & instrument system.
- The project design and functionality are completed within set time frame and in compliance with the project’s objective, the required standard, codes, guidance, and good engineering practice.
- To encourage and promote good quality and timeliness of work.
- Effective coordination between Discipline Engineers so that the required deliverables are attained and completed on schedule to support the ongoing modification/ construction works.
- Good preparation for material take-off according to technical requirements/specification.
- To ensure that the drawings are up-to-date and available at all time.
- Good coaching and mentoring to junior Draftsman and team members.

| Qualifications |
- Degree or High Vocational Certificate or Diploma in Instrument / Electrical Engineering / Design, or related fields.
