Our client is a joint operating company. They are responsible to conduct petroleum operations on behalf of the Production Sharing Contractors in offshore East Malaysia. In fulfilling the role and responsibility of the operator, they aspires to be a high performing joint operating company and currently they are searching for talent to join their workforce..

• Ensure proper and smooth execution of all welding related activities for projects, in order to ensure project is meeting the specified standards and requirements by 1) reviewing all welding related procedures and ensuring the availability and compliance of these procedures 2) supporting the Project Team in managing and supervising all welding activities at vendors’ premises and fabrication yards 3) monitoring welders qualification testing and performance 4) conducting failure investigations and welding audits if required.

• Minimum of 12 years as Welding Engineer in oil and gas industries, with more than 8 years in fabrication of offshore facilities
• Must be well-versed in welding Codes/ Standards
• Possess AWS Welding Certification/ ASNT will be an added advantage

• Bachelor degree in Engineering
