Our Client is a MNC which operates at the forefront of the O&G industry.

They are involved in the exploration and production of oil and gas and are currently looking for a Contract Engineer to join their team.

• Preparation of Topside major Maintenance Services & Material procurement contracts related to offshore and facilities, experience in large offshore
• Ensure that all contracts are managed in accordance with policies and manage a portfolio of contract that supports the operational business need.
• Identify, develop and deliver financial saving and value creation for designated business partners
• Supply of equipments, spare parts, structural materials and pre-fabrication materials for both onshore and offshore facilities.
• Support technical packages in the management of procurement activities, including Long Lead Item(s) if any, and as required, prepare and manage associated contract.
• Provide assistance and advice Maintenance Manager & Contract
• Be responsible for the timely preparation and administration of all contractual & procurement documentation.
• Ability to manage and ensure procedure is being adhered over the life cycle of the project.
• Manage a portfolio of contracts that supports the operational business need.
• Review scope of work, developing suitable pricing structure, preparing tender document with suitable conditions and ensure that company policies and procedure are followed.
• Formulate suitable tendering strategy depending upon the scope, value, types, time schedule and select the most appropriate bidders
• Co-ordinate technical evaluation and conduct commercial evaluation, and obtain Techno Commercial Eveluation and Award Recommendation approval for award.
• Ensure that company health, safety, environment, quality control and other objective are communicated to the contractors.
• Conduct tender, commercial evaluation, negotiation and contract
• Compile Invitation to Bid packages in collaboration with Contracting and Procurement and maintenance Operation Teams members.
• To review and update the contract HSSE Plan Quarterly and Contract Management Plan & Business Performance Review report submission yearly.

• Experience in developing Tender Plan and contract drafting skills for both Maintenance services and material supply contract.
• Experience of both maintenance services and material supply contract commercial frameworks.
• Experiences in negotiation skills for Contract Values about RM30Mil
• Experiences in presenting paper with Contract Values about RM 30 Mil to Tender Board and senior management.
• Experience as contract holder for contracts and experience in reviewing and updating the Contract HSSE Plan Quarterly and Contract Management Plan & Business Performance Review report submission yearly.
• Able to use SAP
• Ability to foster mature/excellent working relationship with Key Services Providers
• Able to use relevant CP tools and techniques, and all the relevant regulatory and legislative requirement
• Knowledge of engineering codes and standards and basic metallurgy and corrosion.
• Knowledge of Company Standard Engineering Specification & Design Engineering Practice is a must
• Working experience (5 years) as Material Coordinator in Warehouse management and managing the materials & logistics for project planning and execution.
• Knowledge of materials specification for both onshore and offshore topside major maintenance requirements. (i.e. piping, pipe fitting, flanges, spading materials, gasket and structural materials.)
• Knowledge of preparing the project close out report inclusive of project surplus materials, invoices after completion of each project.
• Simultaneous Operations, Hot Work, positive isolation, lifting and hoisting, vessel entry, scheduled waste management, scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Strong communication/interpersonal skills

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Science / Bachelor Degree in Engineering Information Technology / Higher School Certificate )(HSE) or equivalent and have working experience between 10-20 years.
