| Work Scope |
- Responsible to deliver packages of work for metallurgical engineering activities and technical assurance as agreed with the projects.
- Responsible and support for material selection in tender and project execution phase.
- To provide metallurgical engineering support to all departments within subsea and ensure timely delivery and execution of the projects.
- To prepare material philosophy, material data sheet, CP reports and other kind of material technology related documents.
- To review fabrication procedures, inspection procedures, paint & coating procedures and welding procedures.
- To check and review supplier documents and procedures.
- To provide general support on NDT, welding and provision of appropriate corrosion control measure involving cathodic protection, coating / painting and chemical treatment.
- To be familiar with subsea material and its production route and heat treatment.
- To ensure compliance with the our Client's Operating System for all aspects of the work.
- To ensure compliance with technical integrity standards and project procedures.

| Requirements |
- Malaysian.
- Minimum 2 years working in industry in an engineering environment.
- Has had engineering involvement with oil & gas related projects (Engineering experience within another industry with transferable skills will be considered as an alternative).
- Familiar with NACE, ISO, API, ASTM, ASME and Norsok standards.
- Has experience and knowledge on material discipline.
- General experience and understanding of multi-discipline tasks, encompassing a range of disciplines, e.g. safety, mechanical, piping & structural disciplines.
- Previous experience or familiarity with subsea metallurgical preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written.
- Good presentation, organisational and IT skills.
- Able to understand the constraints and drivers of the other disciplines and able to communicate effectively with them.
- Familiar with standard management and control techniques employed on a medium or large project and able to input as required.
- Able to manage own work to ensure schedule and budget targets are understood and met
