Brief Company Introduction

Our Client is a MNC which operates at the forefront of the O&G industry.

They are involved in the exploration and production of oil and gas and are currently looking for a Senior Wells Lifecycle Engineer to join their team.

Work Scope
  • Responsible for all well engineering aspects of the A.09 activities (Design, Construct, Modify or Abandon wells) including completion & well tie-in, and challenging the A.11 process (Evolve Development Concepts).
  • Supporting at least one rig operations in an efficient, economical and safe manner by using optimum techniques / best practices without compromising established UIA policies and HSE standard.
  • HSE Critical Tasks:
  • Advanced Casing Design (Includes HPHT, Deepwater)
  • Well Integrity
  • Advanced Well Control (includes HPHT, Deepwater)
  • Well bore surveying
  • Well Delivery Responsibility:
  • Major projects will be handed over to the Senior Well Engineer Operations after WDP3 (Well Delivery Process 3) / Well Proposal has been finalized. All objectives, times and cost must be agreed between the concept well engineer and Well Engineer Operations.
  • Workover programs will be designed and executed within the Operations Team.
  • Responsible to develop the well program / WDP4 which ensures a safe, efficient and cost effective execution achieving all agreed well objectives.
  • HSE Key Performance Index (KPI): Lost Time Incident (LTI), Total Recordable Case Frequency (TRCF), High Potential Incident (HPI), no Spills.
  • Performance KPI: Planned (BP) days / Actual days, NPT%, ILT%
  • Cost KPI: Planned Cost (BP) / Actual Cost.
  • Responsible that all materials, equipment and services are made available to efficiently execute the well program.
  • For single string ventures in remote locations, responsibilities will also include support to contracting, logistics and HSE Management.
  • Highlight timely the required services and technologies which are not covered under the existing contracts.
  • Liaise with the rig on a daily basis. Provide support and information to the Drilling Supervisor on all aspects of the well operations.
  • Monitor costs and performance on a daily basis, ensure cost effective techniques and equipment are made available.
  • Manage change control in the existing well execution program when required in order to achieve the well objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements and the Global minimum standards.
  • Responsible for gathering all learning presented in an After Action Review (AAR) and provide well engineering input for the Post Drilling Report (PDR).
  • Responsible for managing and administering the Terms & Conditions of a contract.
  • Acting Well Delivery Lead as and when required.
Requirements
  • Proven abilities in onshore and offshore drilling and completion operations
  • Experience in New Technology, Well Delivery Process, DrL (Drill the Limit), QA/QC.
  • Proven project / team/ man management skills.
  • Proven track record in delivering result in a challenging environment.
  • Hydraulic work-over experience.
  • Deepwater Exploration Drilling in preparations of rig equipment, Blow out Prevention (BOP), Marine and Directional Positioning (DP) inspection/acceptance program.
  • HPHT (high pressure high temperature) well engineering design and planning experience
  • Expandable tubular project management experience
  • Under Balance Drilling (UBD) / Managed Pressure Drilling / Dynamic Controlled Pressure Drilling project / technical skills.
  • HSE Leadership and the ability to prioritize HSE over Delivery of Operational targets. Experience in HSE Risk Analysis – HAZID, HAZOD, JHA.
  • Good understanding of the well engineering interface issues in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Good technical and practical understanding of well engineering with a good business sense & commercial awareness.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering from a recognized institution 15+ years experience in Well Engineering with in-depth knowledge of well programming & construction.
