Brief Company Introduction

Our Client is a MNC which operates at the forefront of the O&G industry.

They are involved in the exploration and production of oil and gas and are currently looking for a Construction Engineer - Project to join their team.

Work Scope
  • Construction Engineer (Project) reports to the Senior Construction Engineer.
  • Ensure HSSE compliance, which include driving Company’s safety rules and policies, exercising and promoting the use of accident control technique, implementing accident investigation procedures and so on.
  • Ensure daily work progress and contractual deliverable are received and verified. Operational meeting is conducted with the relevant stakeholders such as the project team, CSR and the Contractor representatives.
  • Ensure all works are executed in compliance with Company’s requirement covering HSSE, quality and costs within the framework of the contract
  • Ensure the SIMOPS, SSP and anchor patterns are approved prior to execution of the project.
  • Ensure nobody get hurt by getting oneself fully trained to fufil the requirements of the Critical Position.
  • Representative on project liaising with the Contractor Representative and the Project Representative.
  • To deliver result which meet Project Representative’s demands in terms of cost, schedule and quality without sacrificing HSSE
  • Have excellent construction and contractual skills, proactive, having sense of ownership, motivated, empowered, customer focused and thus able to advice the Project Team of the best way forward.
  • Fully responsible of the execution of the project assigned to; main driver in getting the services from the Materials Expeditor, Construction Engineer (Operation), Company Site Representative (CSR) and other departments to ensure the success of the projects
  • Perform regular site visits to ensure the safety standards and practices are maintained in the construction.
  • Responsible to ensure the CSR are up to date on the safety concerns raised by the work-pack team on the projects
  • Main driver in maintaining close communication with the project team during implementation phase.
  • Provide input to work planning prior to execution related to drawings, specifications, resources utilization, procedures, etc and final review and endorsement of these documents
  • Coordinate with material team, fabrication yard & supply base to ensure timely delivery of material and fabricated items.
  • Reports the status of project preparation accurately
  • Main driver in following up all construction incidents reporting occurred in assigned project. Perform investigation and responsibilities for the timely close out of all action items raised in the investigation reports.
  • Raising the requirement for inspectors to support offshore campaign Review the work-pack prepared for his project and responsible to coordinate work-pack challenge for the projects assigned
  • Have sense of ownership to the project assigned to him and deliver the end result with pride
  • Able to promote HSSE culture in the Contractor
Requirements
  • Must have 15 years working experience in oil & gas industries with;
  • At least 5 years in offshore construction (hook-up, commissioning & maintenance) project co-ordination work, progress control and safety management
  • Good negotiating skills, communication and reporting, plus assertiveness and supervision
Qualifications
  • candidate must have a recognized degree in engineering
