| Work Scope |
- Perform related duties as assigned by CM or ACM, including but not limited to the following:
- Maintain compliance with all MKK’s policies and procedures. Keep and cause anyone to keep site morals and cleanness.
- Attend MKK’s TBM every morning and/or Safety Progress Meeting (weekly, daily), and report safety conditions and work progress of Subcontractor or the area in charge. Give MKK’s instructions to Subcontractor if so required by BOSS.
- Cause anyone to immediately stop the work, if unsafe act or condition be found out, regardless of the area or subcontractor in charge. Allow to restart the work only when unsafe act or condition was eliminated.
- Always be aware of the member of Site Safety Committee (safety conditions to be kept).
- Supervise daily activities of Subcontractor or area thereof assigned by BOSS, and cause Subcontractor to keep planned schedule instructed by BOSS.
Measure and prepare daily, weekly and monthly Work Progress Report to BOSS, using MKK’s standard format.
If actual work progress be found delayed from planned schedule given by BOSS, immediately report the fact and possible reason of delay to BOSS, and cause Subcontractor to recover the schedule delay.
Prepare Subcontractor’s work record (manpower mobilization) using MKK’s standard format and submitted to BOSS.
- Ensure smooth execution of piping work, under coordination of other work categories. Report BOSS when found difficulty.
- Check correctness of nozzle orientation/elevation/inclination for equipment already installed together with Subcontractor, and report the result thereof to BOSS.
- Cause Subcontractor to properly control pre-fabricated piping piece delivered from shop, at Site Lay-down Area.
- Confirm and cause Subcontractor to store and handle CS, 304SS and 316SS materials separately, and classify (identify) 316SS from 304SS by stencil, color mark, Mo check, PMI, etc. if they are mixed-up.
- Supervise/witness Subcontractor’s daily activities, and confirm proper and correct execution of works as per the drawings/specifications, including but not limited to the following, and cause Subcontractor to take corrective actions if the work be found defective, incorrect or uncompleted.
Confirm that piping is dimensionally correct, and installed in correct position as shown on the drawing.
Confirm correctness of piping verticality and horizontality, and its slope as instructed on the drawing.
Confirm use of correct piping materials (pipe, fitting, etc.).
Confirm proper edge preparation, root fit-up, joint alignment and jigging for welding, and that welding is done as per WPS approved by MKK by only welder qualified by MKK, and welding rod used is correct as per WPS, kept dry properly, no deterioration and within validity of application.
Confirm that welding of pipe support, shoe plate to pipe & fitting is done by only welder qualified by MKK.
Confirm that the first layer of single butt type joint of SS is welded by TIG with inert gas back up, which is fully penetrated and fusion, unless otherwise different welding method is specified.
Inspect visually all weld surfaces, and cause Subcontractor to repair welding defect e.g. welding crack, under-cut, over-lap, irregular bead, unsuitable reinforcement, blow-hole, arc strike, welding spatter, and any other poor workmanship, if found out, of which the repair method to be approved by BOSS.
Confirm use of correct gasket and bolt/nuts for flange joint portion, and neither temporary gasket nor incorrect bolt/nut is accepted (they must be removed off when found out).
Confirm use of correct valve under correct flow direction as instructed on the drawing.
Confirm that neither cap nor protection material remains on valve or other components inside or outside.
Confirm that no foreign matter remains piping inside.
Cause Subcontractor to hasten to install piping support correctly as shown on the drawing, ahead of piping installation.
Confirm pipe fixing method to support e.g. fix by U-bolt, fixing shoe, sliding shoe, free guide, as shown on the drawing.
Confirm neither dust nor stent on piping, and cause Subcontractor to clean if piping be found dirty.
Cause Subcontractor to prepare the above confirmation/inspection record as per MKK’s standard format, sign it if accepted, and submit to BOSS.
- Witness and cause Subcontractor to conduct HT, Leak Test, Integrated Leak Test, if so requested by BOSS, and cause Subcontractor to prepare inspection record as per MKK’s standard format, sign it if accepted, and submit to BOSS.
- Prepare/confirm and cause Subcontractor to complete Punch List for Piping Work.
