- Ensure EPCC/CM Contractors meet project preservation activities for all equipment, instrumentation, machinery and vital materials that are received for construction, start-up and turnover to the owner.
- Guide, advise, coach, plan and coordinate preservation activities, conducted by all EPCC/CM Contractors and Subcontractors, required to achieve equipment and material preservation as required.
- Integrate best practices including: reliability, plant and maintenance engineering, planning and scheduling, while implementing equipment and material preservation work process improvements.
- Coordinate multi-discipline applications or project planning/scheduling, maintenance engineering, reliability, operations, and project controls systems.
- Train, coach and consult on preservation requirements and best practices to PMC Construction Management and EPCC/CM Contractor personnel.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- In-depth knowledge of ASME, API, AWS, ISO codes and other applicable codes and standards.
- Interpret code, standards, and specifications to ensure project ensure compliance to project preservation requirements during construction.
- Perform inspections and audits of construction activities to determine conformance with specified requirements.
- Maintain high standards of performance for self and assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments and tasks.
- Proactive reporting and able to apply necessary follow-up to monitor progress and results of project tasks and assignments.
- Analytical approach to problem solving and identifying potential solutions.
- Conduct spot inspections of construction equipment for compliance with site and local regulations.
- Set up equipment and material preservation plans that encompass receipt inspection, site storage, post installation, pre-commissioning and handover
- Interface with and obtain all preservation data and plans from EPCC/CM Contractors and Subcontractors
- Train and coach PMC Construction QC disciplines in material and equipment preservation methods and insertion of key intervention points to ensure preservation activities are effectively implemented.
