| Work Scope |
- To assist and be understudy of the Assurance Manager – who is the focal point for the planning and managing the fleet of Tankers under AET Shipmanagement Malaysia, and office on vetting issues/ approvals by Oil Majors by ensuring compliance to the statutory and the additional requirements of the Industr.
- To pre-vet the vessels and ensure the high standards and thus resulting in building company’s reputation.
- Pre- vet vessels to confirm conformance to the highest standards of the Industry
- Train the vessel’s Masters / officers, during such inspections to maintain a continually high standard
- Liaise with the Oil Major and promptly respond to all queries, doubts misgivings(if any) raised by clients with regards to issues relating to customer requirements
- Assist the Assurance manager to plan and coordinate inspections by Oil majors, address issues raised and recommend corrective actions to satisfy the Customers’ needs.
- Maintain and update vessels’ database where all information on vessel’s vetting and rectification measures are captured and stored, including their certification, expiry dates and performance. Gather, collate and ensure database information on Oil/Chemical Major profiles is accurate for reference, to maintain a continuous trading status.
- Responsible to develop, motivate and train Masters / Ships officers to improve their competency skills in meeting the Company’s objectives in providing efficient Vetting inspections for the AET’s fleet of Tankers.

| Requirements |
- At least 5 years experience on Tankers with 2 years in a Senior Position
- Shipping Industry rules / regulations + being Computer Savvy
- A good command in written and spoken English
- Organising skills
- Self Motivated

- A levels or equivalent
- Master Mariner (FGN) with DCE
